October - Brain Health Series
Are you interested in learning more about brain health? Join us for this 4-week series discussing some current research in brain health and common brain changes as we age, along with some information and activities on what we can do to maintain our brain health as much as possible.
- Oct 6: Week 1 - Brain health and diseases.
- Oct 13: Week 2- Cognitive changes in the aging process.
- Oct 30: Week 3- Brain training: How can puzzles help.
- Oct 27: Week 4- What we can do every day for our brain.

Presenter: Amy Stephenson
Amy has been working with seniors for more than 7 years. Amy completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Western University during this time she volunteered at the Canadian Centre for Aging and Health lighting her passion for geriatrics leading to a Masters in Aging and Health at Queens University. Professionally, Amy has worked in an Adult Day program providing hands-on care, as a Public Education Coordinator at the Alzheimer Society and is now acting as the Caregiver Wellness Coordinator at the Scarbrough Centre for Healthy Communities. When not working Amy enjoys the outdoors running, paddling and biking.
